About Me

A little bit about myself, when I left school I studied animal management at Lackham College. I learnt about animal behaviour as well as a lot of hands on experience on a variety of animals from a Goat to an Iguana. Through the college we had to complete 300 hours of work experience, my first work placement was with a mobile equine vet and then my second placement was with a dog day care in St Catherine’s called Doggy Doos. I loved my experience there, I learnt so much about dogs, their behaviour and how to manage them within a large group. Fast forward a few months after and at the young age of 18 I become a self-employed dog walker.

During lockdown, I used my free time wisely and I volunteered at an animal sanctuary called Goatacre. I volunteered there twice a week in the morning to help out with the breakfast and the clean out shift. There are over 100 animals there which include pigs, sheep, goats, chickens and cute little bunny rabbits. Emma who owns the sanctuary taught me so much and has helped me grow my confidence with looking after different animals and learning new skills and responsibilities.

In my personal life my partner Richie and I own 3 dogs (crazy right!) 2 bunny rabbits – who I adopted from the sanctuary and 2 gerbils. Pretty much feels like a crazy zoo at my house but I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Why Choose Hayley's Happy Hounds?

I love looking after animals, I am very reliable and will do my best to fit in your dog to a time that suits you. I appreciate and understand that your dog is more to you than a pet. They are apart of your family, therefore I will treat them as if they were my own, gain their trust, take them on adventurous walks and give them loads of cuddles. I will give 110% effort into making sure your dog enjoys our walks and cater to care for each individual dog which is something, I feel, a kennel cannot offer.

When I am walking your dog(s) or looking after them I will take photos and update you every couple of weeks on your dog's progress either by email of on my Facebook site.

I am based in Chippenham and mainly cover areas in Chippenham, Colerne and Corsham.

I am fully insured with Pet Business Insurance.

9 years experience,

Dog First Aid Trained.

I completed a Canine First Aid course.

This expires at the end of 2022 which I will retrain.

I carry a mini first aid kit with me on walks and I have a full first aid kit in my van as well as registered with a vet incase of emergencies.

I will aim to take your dog to your registered vet but if mine is closer that is where I will go.
